The Blackbyrds are the seminal rhythm and blues and jazz-funk fusion group which exploded in the 70’s.

They have released eight studio albums, including The Blackbyrds (1974), Flying Start (1974), Cornbread, Earl and Me (Soundtrack) (1975), City Life (1975), Unfinished Business (1976), Action (1977), Better Days (1980) and Gotta Fly (2012).

Brilliant!

Great venue, great band! I had ordered tickets to eat at the Margins Cafe but encountered delays travelling to Union Chapel. Unfortunately we arrived at around 7 pm and were refused entry. We then had to find somewhere to go and eat before the show and missed the beginning of the concert, which was a great shame. Margins Café also lost money on this occasion.

Blackbyrds! What a band - Unique Venue

Legendary band - Doing all of their hits and the music of the true genius Donald Byrd. What's more - they did one of my favourites - Mysterious Vibes - having seen them before - didn't see that coming. Musicianship of the highest order - even had live strings...Fantastic night. I like this unique venue. Good view all round - good sound. Staff really nice and friendly from the guys on the door to the people inside. Effortless entry with tickets on my phone. Left the place smiling.
