Ride is a British alternative rock band formed in Oxford in 1988. They emerged as a prominent figure in the shoegaze scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s alongside bands like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive.

Their music is characterised by swirling layers of guitar effects, ethereal vocals, and dreamy melodies. Ride achieved critical acclaim with their debut album Nowhere in 1990, which showcased their signature sound. Over the years, they've experimented with different styles while maintaining their distinctive sonic palette. great performance as always

good mix of new and 'classic' songs through out their set, to prove they're on-going 21st century band not just a 90s legend.

Ride, Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton - 21st September 2024

Perfection, as always.

About the 7th time I've seen Ride since 1992 and they are always superb live, as they were again in Wolverhampton. Every member of the band is totally on the money and it ensures a great mix of melodic tunes and swirling noise. Next time they tour again, I will be there.... hopefully Wolverhampton again as it's my nearest venue.
