Hockley Hustle
Hockley Hustle is one of the biggest independent music festivals in Nottingham and is set to return on Sunday 28th of October. Rounding up the city’s finest musical talent to play on over 35 stages housed in the bohemian streets of Hockley, the festival is a massive draw which is raising money for local charities including Emmanuel House, Nottingham & Nottinghamshire Refugee Forum, Rethink Mental Health, Zephyrs and Equation.
Plus, Young Hustlers returns for a second year! Dedicated acts and activities for your wee folk, Young Hustlers is the family orientated front of the festival which includes the award-winning Big Fish Little Fish kiddies rave, a DJ masterclass, song writing workshop, a graffiti wall for everyone to get involved with and so much more!

The Invisible Orchestra
The Invisible Orchestra is a huge 16-piece ensemble, hand picked by band leader James Waring for their sheer audacious skill with performances encompassing such varied styles as jazz, soul, Afrobeat, Arabic punk, classical and even hip hop.
Their alumni include such incredible stars as Harleighblu, Percydread (The Naturalites), legendary and Natalie Duncan who have all provided vocals, infamous rapper Scorzayzee plus a guest appearance from world renowned DJ Mr Switch.
After selling out their hometown gig at new Nottingham venue Metronome taking place this weekend, we have just a handful of tickets left for their upcoming shows at The Borderline in London and Bristol Thekla. Do not miss your chance to see something truly spectacular!

The Longcut
The Longcut are the Manchester three-piece formed in 2002 which continue to explorer the out fringes of rock-based electronica. Band members include drummer Stuart Ogilvie who also provides vocals and keys, guitarist Lee Gale and Jon Fearon on bass. Their latest LP is titled ‘Arrows’ and was released in April.
This month sees The Longcut hitting Nottingham to play The Chapel upstairs in the excellent pub The Angel Microbrewery on Saturday 13th which can be found just around the corner from the Gigantic offices where they will be supported by esoteric psyche wanderers Purple Heart Parade and intense art rockers The Holy Orders. Plus, they also takeover Sebright Arms in London on Saturday 17th of November.

Rolo Tomassi
Centred around siblings Eva and James Spence, Rolo Tomassi rose out of the independent music scene of Sheffield and quickly became a cult favourite with fans drawn to their complexed time signatures and the unadulterated post-hardcore power to create music which is both beautiful and ferocious.
Rolo Tomassi released their mathcore masterpiece ‘Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It’ back in March which they now present at a spooktacular gig at Nottingham’s Rescue Rooms the night before Halloween. It is the first date of a tour which takes them to Cardiff, Norwich and London the following month.

Villagers
Irish indie folk band Villagers quickly came to the fore when their debut album ‘Becoming A Jackal’ was shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize in 2010 after judges were impressed by their endearing songs which blend a traditional feel with a modern pop sound.
Having just released their latest album ‘The Art Of Pretending To Swim’ last month, this month sees them commence a lengthy tour. Plus, they have already announced two dates at Manchester Cathedral and Wylam Brewery in Newcastle during March 2019.
