KRANIUM – “Options”
Jamaican born singer/songwriter Kranium is the NYC artist taking the world by storm with his unique blend of reggae, R&B and hip hop, boasting streams of over half a billion! Having recently released his Toxic EP, he now releases a video for brand-new song “Options”, featuring Damage Musiq.
See Kranium smash it this summer, when he heads to the U.K. to play headline shows – already selling out fast with Gigantic!

SINGLE
SOCIAL HAUL – “The Ease”
After blowing everyone’s minds with rampaging first single “Wet Eyes”, new post punk trio Social Haul now drop second song “The Ease” which continues their unstoppable rise, fast becoming the favourite new act for those with a taste for angular riffs and savage songs.
Led by Leigh Padley from motorik trio TRAAMS, their latest offering gives an insight to the internal monologue of an overbearing anti-hero, as the singer explains; “‘The Ease’ is a celebration of the determined ego. By utilising unwavering confidence, the protagonist simply belittles the obstacles in his way to diminish and overcome them; an ode to the only redeeming feature of arrogance. Fit for a knees-up, it’s about the part of ourselves we hate to love; bravado”.
Both songs will be included on their self-titled debut LP which has been produced by Daniel Fox of Girl Band fame and is released on FatCat Records on June 11th (CLICK HERE to pre-order), which Social Haul will be promoting with a tour in September.

PALM READER – “False Thirst”
Following on from the release of Nottingham based metalcore band Palm Reader’s fourth album Sleepless, comes new single “False Thirst” which is their anthem for those overcoming adversity; "This song is about the normality behind life’s difficulties. We all find it hard in some respect. So, considering the thought of all our collective hardships, ‘should it be easy?’ That was the question I found myself asking whilst writing and it really helped me, even before it was answered, to gain some perspective. Realising you’re not alone in your troubles can really help to relieve the pressure we put on ourselves and reduce the stress surrounding those moments. In short, life is really fucking hard sometimes, but it goes on and it gets better." – Josh Mckeown

DESPERATE JOURNALIST – “Fault”
Desperate Journalist have developed a keen following as they have grown into cult status, and now the London post punk quartet drop “Fault” which is the first single from their upcoming LP Maximum Sorrow and is released via Fierce Panada Records on July 2nd (CLICK HERE to pre-order).
“The lyrics for ‘Fault’ were initially written quite intuitively and informed by what sounded good mouthwise with the kind of melody I thought the song needed—quite sonorous, Jim Kerr-y vowels. As I edited it into something which actually made sense, it naturally turned into a memory-screed about a terrible flat I once lived in and how the place itself seemed to reflect all the misery going on in my life at the time. I quite like the idea of a song sounding so big and dark and kinetic but with lyrics set mostly in quite a small space where nothing really happens except for unexpressed turbulent emotion.”
“Structurally it’s unusual for us in that it a) doesn’t have many guitars on it and b) has a shifting hook/chorus which doesn’t happen at the times you’d necessarily expect. It was more of a textural exercise to record too which was really enjoyable and interesting—there are two drumkits on the recording and also synth undercurrents to make it extra propulsive and intense.” – Jo Bevan

WORKING MEN’S CLUB – “Y?”
Accompanying Working Men’s Club single “X” which we featured in #NewMusic Friday at the beginning is b-side “Y?”. Previously only found on their very limited 7” which sold out instantly upon online release, fans can now hear the track on all good streaming services ahead of their autumn tour. Plus, they will also appear at festivals Wide Eyed and Neighbourhood Weekender.
