ENTER SHIKARI – ‘T.I.N.A’
Electronica edge post-hardcore band Enter Shikari have just dropped new single ‘T.I.N.A’ – and it’s a real belter!
“We’ve pushed further and asked ourselves, ‘Where can we go? Let’s fucking go there!’ One track is a symphonic orchestral piece, but then there are other tracks that wouldn’t sound out of place on our first album, Take To The Skies. I think one thing about this album that’s slightly different is that we set out to make something that encapsulates everything that Shikari have done. This album is more broad, and there’s more confidence in the songwriting. Plus, I produced it, so it gave us more attention to detail. There are more hours that have been put into this album than any other – a lot more sweat, toil, and crippling indecision!”
‘T.I.N.A’ follows the release of wonky track ‘thē kĭñg’ and aggressive romper ‘{The Dreamer’s Hotel}’, all of which will feature on the forthcoming Enter Shikari album ‘Nothing Is True & Everything Is Possible’ which is out on Friday 17th of April which you can pre-order HERE.

RODDY WOOMBLE – ‘Everyday Sun’
Idlewild frontman Roddy Woomble continues his solo career with the release of experimental six track EP ‘Everyday Sun’ which combines minimal electronic beats and soundscapes with existential musings and stream of consciousness poetry. Joining him on this meditative voyage is bandmate Andrew Mitchell, who helped Woomble write each track in stages and create an otherworldly feel.
"I greatly enjoyed both of Andrew's instrumental solo albums, and really liked the idea of trying to read some of my words over his compositions. It was interesting just to have an electronic drumbeat to base my words around..."

DUA LIPA – ‘Future Nostalgia’
Can it really only be two years ago that alt-pop star Dua Lipa dropped her essential eponymously titled debut record? While her first album attracted attention like a lightening bolt drawn to a rod and raised her profile to an international level, Lipa has proven that her early success was no fluke with her second outing ‘Future Nostalgia’ which has all the hallmarks as a contender for the title Album Of The Year.
Featuring hit single ‘Don’t Start Now’ which topped the charts all around the globe plus dark and seductive song ‘Physical’, the second album takes it’s lead from the hedonistic rush of 80’s synth-pop and takes its title from a lost sense of future promised at the dawn of the digital age.
Keeping up the momentum, 2021 promises to be another big year for Dua Lipa as she kicks it off with an arena tour in January – tickets on sale with Gigantic right now!

DANA GAVANSKI – ‘Yesterday Is Gone’
Sometimes the music is just bursting to come out, as proved by newcomer Dana Gavanski. The Vancouver born young musician moved to Montreal for college and began to feel the stirrings of a songwriter. After then relocating to Toronto, she quickly became emmeshed in the local music scene which encouraged her to flourish and in a short time developed her own unique take on indie pop as now heard on debut LP ‘Yesterday Is Gone’.
Described by Gavanski as “a reckoning with myself”; ‘Yesterday Is Gone’ is a break-up album which was conceived and recorded with the aid of Toronto-based musician Sam Gleason plus Mike Lindsay from Tunng and Lump. Her partners help draw out her idiosyncratic sound which links back to her Serbian heritage and joins it with her passion for such trailblazing songwriters as David Bowie and Aldous Harding. The result is an earnest record with pastoral influences showing shades from the sophisticated side of 60’s pop.
“Often we have to go a little far in one direction to learn something about ourselves. The months of solitary writing and self-doubt testify to this, but they’ve led to Yesterday Is Gone: an optimistic, steely-eyed gaze into the future.”

WAXAHATCHEE – ‘Saint Cloud’
It’s only been two years since we last had an incredible album from celebrated Alabama indie folk band Waxahatchee. Now they return with ‘Saint Cloud’ which is filled with southern charm and feel good indie folk that could just be their best LP yet!
Originally Katie Crutchfield’s solo acoustic project, Waxahatchee eventually developed into a band but still keeps that sense of intimacy which is tangible throughout the new release making ‘Saint Cloud’ a truly immersive record, thanks to Crutchfield’s vivid imagery, which takes you out to the secret place by the creek past the pines. While triumphant, the record also details her struggles with sobriety and marks a period of reflection for the songwriter as she reconciles the dreams of her past with the realities of how life has turned out.
‘Saint Cloud’ is released today through Merger Records and will be promoted with UK dates at YES in Manchester plus Islington Assembly Hall in London this summer.
