Welcome to the Moonshine Sessions! Gigantic is passionate about music and, together with our partners Alchemistic Records, we bring you live performances from the world’s most exciting acts.
The Moonshine Sessions are recorded live in the heart of Nottingham, well known for its fertile creative soil producing a wonderfully diverse music scene rich in homegrown talent whilst also attracting the very best performing acts from near and far.
We invite our artists whilst on tour to come to ROFL Audio for special one-off shows, plus showcase the very best local musicians to take advantage of the state-of-the-art facilities, to capture an intimate and revealing performances which shows just what makes them so unique and impressive.
Louise Distras is this week’s special guest in The Moonshine Sessions.... Always bringing the powerful polemics to the centre stage, she performs ‘New World In Our Heart’ plus her own version of ‘Solidarity’ by Little Steven.
A rallying cry for radical change, Louise Distras channels her experiences of homeless in her youth youth and her anger at inequality into rabble rousing folk rock.
Distras has caught the eye of the critics with Kerrang! calling her “The most exciting voice in UK punk right now", a sentiment seconded by the esteemed veteran John Robb whose coverage on her in his Louder Than War page described her music as "Big electric punk anthems for yet another let down generation, and a searing lyrical clarity from the gutter looking at the stars”.
